Be enchanted by Cunha’s breathtaking landscapes and the diversity of its ceramic studios!

Enchanting is what visitors feel in Cunha, located in the Serra do Mar mountains between Paraty and the Paraíba Valley. Waterfalls, breathtaking scenery and trails through the Atlantic Forest make it perfect for romantic, adventure or family outings.

The road to Cunha lies within Serra da Bocaina National Park and is 46 km long (approximately one hour of travel).

On arrival, we visit the Municipal Market, where the guide will show the organic fruit and vegetables produced in the region, including delicious dulce de leche.

During our tour of Cunha, we also visit the Main Church and Square, the Francisco Veloso Municipal Museum and more. Art lovers will visit ceramic studios with unique pieces fired in Noborigama kilns, introduced to Brazil in 1975 and making Cunha a national centre for ceramic art.

Next, we continue to a restaurant for an optional delicious meal prepared with seasonal products from nearby farms. After lunch, we visit Lavandário for breathtaking views and a walk among lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and other aromatic plants. 

After an optional lunch, enjoy Brazilian coffee at a lavender farm with breathtaking views. If time allows, we can visit Contemplário, a place of tranquillity and contemplation among plantations of lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and other aromatic plants.
